What will happen to me if the worst comes to pass? If I’m so injured or ill that I can’t speak for myself to medical professionals? If I’m unlawfully or unjustly detained? If I die? What will happen to my loved ones, especially those who are dependent on me?
These are extremely unpleasant things to consider, but many people are asking themselves these questions today. The good news is that you have more power to decide the answers than you probably think.

Adults have extensive rights to exercise self-determination over what happens to their bodies and their property in life and death, and who is authorized to make decisions on their behalf. The bundle of laws and documents used to exercise these rights is typically referred to as “estate planning” by lawyers who specialize in the field.
If you’d like to know more about estate planning and your options for self-determination in life and death, please join me for this free webinar. The next live session will be Saturday, January 8, at 4:00 p.m. EST. Preregistration is required to receive the Zoom link. If you can’t make that time, it will be recorded, and the video link shared with everyone who registers.
